Howto Apply for ED VISA


Step 1 Receive the acceptance letter (scanned version) from FON CMU and confirm mailing address and location where the student will apply for the Thai visa. FON CMU will mail the acceptance letter and visa paperwork to the new student.
Step 2 New student will apply for non-immigrant ED visa at the local Thai consulate or embassy.
Step 3 Receive the visa and provide proof to FON CMU.

Required documents
1. Visa application form completely filled out.
2. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and at least 2 blank pages, as well as the photocopy of passport. The actual passport must be submitted with the visa application form.
3. Two (2) recent photos (taken within the past 6 months)
4. Supporting documents for the purpose of the visit to Thailand. .
5. Letter of acceptance and visa paperwork from FON CMU..

Note
- Please note that the period of visa validity is different from the period of stay. Visa validity is the period during which a visa can be used to enter Thailand. In general, the validity of a visa is 3 months, but in some cases, visas may be issued to be valid for 6 months, 1 year, or 3 years. The validity of a visa is granted with discretion by the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General and is displayed on the visa sticker.
- All students with the ED visa are not permitted to work.
- All visa paperwork from FON CMU is valid for 30 days after the date issued
